This week so far has been a busy week. Monday I had a full day of classes followed by lots of homework. On Tuesday I worked on my paper for neuroscience all day, besides class. In the evening, we went to the play The Ritual Slaughter of Gorge Mastromos. The play began with all actors sitting on stage and talking to the audience. It was an interesting narrative through Gorge's life. Afterwards, the play morphs into 5 events of Gorge's life, one with each of the other five characters. It was an incredibly depressing view of life and human nature. The question that they keep repeating is "Goodness or Cowardice?" which is an interesting take on human nature. Initially, I was unsure about the play, but after sleeping on it, I have decided that I really liked the play. The actors did a wonderful job of portraying the topic and the play was well-written and creative. This play was definitely trying to make us think and it did that very well.

"Kelly's dark tale spans three decades, from the early promise of the 70s through the unrelenting capitalism of the 80s and 90s, following title character Gorge from innocence to greed as it asks 'If you could lie without flinching, corrupt without caring and succeed at all costs, how far could you go and how much could you make?' Among the cast are TMA Award winner and Game Of Thrones alumni Tom Brooke, returning to the Royal Court after appearing in hit play Jerusalem, former Green Wing and Brittas Empire star Pippa Haywood, previously seen at the Court in Wanderlust, and rising star Kate O'Flynn."
