Beginning at 7:15 a band came on stage and began playing some wonderful music.
At 7:30 the play began and I could not stop laughing the entire first act. The show is slapstick humor and quite ridiculous. The premise is that this guy is the servant to two different people and is trying to prevent each from realizing he works for the other. It involves lots of improv and audience participation. At one point, he had two guys come onto stage and carry his trunk across the stage. Later, he had a woman come on stage and hold a pot of soup and then hide under the table (I told you, it's a crazy story!). But then a fire started on table, she jumped out, the main actor threw water on her and then they used a fire extinguisher on her and a stage hand helped her off stage. We were all quite worried, wondering if her dress caught on fire. They called an interval then and we all talked trying to figure out if she was an actor or not. Regardless, the second act went on and was funny, although not as funny as the first. When they came out for bows, the girl came out on stage and bowed. We still were not sold, but they came out again and she knew the dance and the song and then we realized she was an actor. Overall, it was a funny play and had some great funny lines.
After the play, some of us went to the local pub to hang out for an hour before going home. I was then able to skype Gilly for 20 minutes. She had to rub in the fact that she was outside, in the sun, wearing a tank top, etc. Little punk.
Because I think skype pictures are funny, here are some other ones from the past few days. I have skyped my parents and my friends from home. If you want to skype me, email me a time so I can make sure no one else is skyping at that time (so the internet is not too slow).
