I met Kate after her class let out and we went to Primark, a local shopping store. I bought a cheap hat and accompanied Kate. We needed lunch so we found a groupon for fish and chips and had amazing fish and fried shrimp, with pop. Very full, we walked to H&M. It was pouring rain and really dark out at 2pm so it was a weird mind trick. After H&M, we went to Fortnum and Masons to look at their window displays and browse the Christmas decor. The window displays were adorable but they were not all finished so we only saw two-thirds of them. Inside, we saw some really expensive decorations (like a 4,500 pound winter theatre scene) and a 60 pound handkerchief, 160 pounds gloves, etc. After getting our Christmas fill, we walked home in the pouring rain. It was really fun to walk around and see all of the decorations on Reagent and Oxford street, but nothing was lit up yet because the lighting ceremonies occur over the next few weeks. We stopped into a little market, a bath and body works type store, and into whatever else caught our attention.
so cold...the weather in cali looks nice |
I ate really quickly at home and changed into a dress before Eleanor and I headed to the theatre. Since we had such cheap tickets, we splurged and grabbed drinks beforehand. I got a red and blue slushie :) We got to our seats in the Upper Circle and we were on the end of the aisle but we had a good view. The girl next to me had paid 41 pounds for her ticket! The show was absolutely amazing! There were 9 children who were so incredibly talented, lots of singing and dancing, special effects, lasers, lights, etc. I was really entranced throughout the entire show and it reminded me how much I love the book and movie.
